Welcome to ChordChange. By downloading or using the ChordChange app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ChordChange is a music tool for musicians that allows you to create and manage song charts, transpose keys, build set lists, collaborate with band members, and access educational resources. Some features are available for free; others require a paid subscription.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using an email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• ChordChange offers auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and yearly) through Apple's App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings at any time after purchase.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any song charts, lyrics, or other content you create ("User Content"). By uploading content to ChordChange, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content to provide the Service to you and your band members.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party copyrights. Do not upload copyrighted lyrics or charts without authorization.

6. Community Songs

Pro subscribers may share song charts with the ChordChange community library. By submitting a song to the community library, you confirm you have the right to share it and grant other users the right to view and import it for personal use within the App.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App or its servers.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the App.

8. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and content in the App (excluding User Content) is owned by ChordChange and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App. Upon deletion, your account data and associated content will be permanently removed from our servers. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription — you must cancel that separately through your App Store account settings.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChordChange shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms in the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the United States.
